A single mother and her young daughter both rely on sewing for their livelihood. A sewing machine was donated to this family to help them generate income and support their daily needs. Thank you David Arul for your kind donation.

Twenty-five elderly individuals were provided with essential dry rations. These are people with little support and no steady income.

During our field visit, our volunteer member Guna Thirukumaran came across an elderly family with very little support, living in a house that was uninhabitable. The house was upgraded to a livable condition, and their sanitation pit was also refurbished. Thank you Thamotharampillai Gangatharan for supporting this project.

A struggling single mother needed repairs to her bicycle to commute to her labour work, and a new bicycle for her child to attend school. During our visit to Visvamadu, our volunteer Guna Thirukumaran visited a house that was in poor living condition with an incomplete toilet. A property that was previously unstable and in poor condition was repaired and upgraded to livable standards, and handed over to a deserving family. Thank you Vannam Surendran for your kind support.

Four school-going children who travel long distances to school were given bicycles. Some of their parents will also benefit, as they can use the bicycles to drop their children at school and then commute to work. Two needy families were in urgent need of a water supply connection to their homes. This initiative will not only benefit these two families but also provide access to drinking water for many other families in the village. Thank you Sathyabalan Ratnam for sponsoring this project.

Twenty-five fishermen from Panama, Ampara, benefited from our loan scheme by receiving fishing nets. Purchasing nets outright places a significant financial burden on their families. Our interest-free loan program helps ease that burden and enables them to continue their livelihood without added strain.

Two bicycles were donated to young school children to help them commute to school and tuition classes. They live in villages with very limited transportation facilities.
