This remote school in Akaranai (in the Batticiola district) was identified as lacking the resources and opportunities needed to support children in attending excursions beyond their local area. In response, Anbaalayam funded an educational trip, covering all costs for both students and teachers such as buses, food and other excursion related fees.
This initiative allowed the children and their teachers to explore various significant locations in Sri Lanka—places they would typically never have the chance to visit. The experience was not only enjoyable but also enriching, offering the students a rare glimpse into parts of their country they had only read about or heard of.
Anbaalayam is deeply committed to the education and wellbeing of children, and this excursion reflects their dedication to expanding the horizons of young minds. By stepping beyond their remote community, these students were able to partake in a truly extraordinary experience, making memories that will last a lifetime.
