A couple with three young children in Trincomalee has been facing significant challenges in making a sustainable income. The wife, currently running a small sewing business, has been working with an old sewing machine, which has limited her ability to produce work efficiently. Her husband, having recently undergone surgery, is unable to perform strenuous tasks, further hindering the family’s ability to earn an income.
As a result, their children’s education has been impacted, and the family’s financial situation has become more difficult.
Anbaalayam has provided an interest-free loan, enabling the wife to purchase a new sewing machine. This support will significantly boost productivity, allowing her to re-establish her business. Loan repayments will commence once the family is financially stable and earning a consistent income.
