Four houses were completed and handed over to their owners in a remote village in Kanniya, Trincomalee. These families had been living in temporary sheds under very poor conditions. Thank you to the Engineers Charity Fund – Victoria, Australia, for your generous donation to complete this project.

Baby News at Anbaalayam Maavittapuram Organic Farm We are excited to announce the arrival of two new cuties (calves) this week! Manjaa and Puthuvaalai have joined our group of 7 cows at the farm. They represent the future generation of milk-producing cows, which will contribute to the farm’s growth and provide additional income.

Dry rations were donated to 55 families, and a bicycle was provided to a school teacher who commutes from a far distance, all thanks to the generosity of Subramaniam Thees ( Suba Subathasan- Sydney ).

This child from a remote area was in desperate need of a bicycle to travel safely to school. Her family, unable to afford one, has received assistance from Anbaalayam in purchasing the bikes. Thank you Mrs A Sivarajah for sponsoring this project

Much-needed school books and stationery were donated to 244 children from the Batticaloa and Mullaitivu areas. A big thank you to the Baulkham Hills Tamil Society for funding this project.

Guna Thirukumaran visited more beneficiaries supported through Kaviya’s projects. The revolving loan programs are being successfully implemented, and during his visit, Guna Thirukumaran met several beneficiaries to discuss their success stories. He also had the opportunity to visit some of their projects in person.

Our volunteer member, Guna Thirukumaran, visited some of our completed projects and explored new areas in need of assistance. More field visits will follow. On Day 1 and 2, he visited Vaharai, Nasivanthivu, and Ampara.

15 boxes of clothes were packed and shipped today to various parts of Sri Lanka to help underprivileged people. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated good-quality clothes and to all the volunteers who helped with packing!

50 families affected by the recent floods are now facing mosquito bites, which can cause dengue fever – a common and potentially life-threatening illness. In response to their request, 50 mosquito nets were donated to protect them from mosquito bites.
