More than 400 fishing families in Pothuvil are facing hardships due to bad weather conditions. The authorities have temporarily stopped them from going to sea, making it difficult for these families to earn their livelihood. 60 of the most affected families have been supported with urgent dry ration relief.

A single mother of two is facing many challenges. This mother has taken on the responsibility of supporting her two children, mother, her sister who is facing mental health difficulties and her sisters two young girls. Currently, they’re living in an incomplete one-bedroom space that has serious leaks during the rainy season, making it unlivable.
