75 families from Mullaitivu district, who suffered losses due to the recent floods were supported with some much needed dry rations.

Anbaalayam have provided assistance to 60 families from multiple villages in Trincomalee (Bharathy Puram and Ganeshapura) severely impacted by recent floods. The devastation caused by the floods has left these communities in urgent need of basic necessities and assistance to rebuild their lives. Anbaalayam have supported a household by funding and building a water pump to assist with home gardening for a family in Thiriyai (Trinco region). This will not only help them grow their own food but also create an opportunity to earn an income. Small initiatives like these can make a big difference in building self-sufficiency

A 48 year old woman, who tragically lost her husband in 2009, has been working hard to support her three children through odd jobs. Her house was in poor condition, with cracked walls and a leaking roof. Anbaalayam have funded the necessary materials and support to repair the roof and walls.
