During May 2021, Anbaalayam received tons of clothes for donation from a well-wisher (Atul). These items included winter apparel and other articles of clothing for all age groups \ sizes. With active involvement of our volunteers, all clothes were boxed-up (15 boxes in total) and shipped off to Sri Lanka.
These boxes reached the SL shores in July, and were delivered to various regions – Killinochi, Central Province, Batticaloa, Mannar *Due to extreme poverty in Vakarai, Anbaalayam also donated 5kg rice to 60 families ($250). This was donated by couple of well-wishers from Sydney.
This clothing donation will make a real difference to the lives of many vulnerable persons, who are struggling to make ends meet.
