Local Community Project (food boxes) – Parramatta, Sydney – June 2024

On Friday, June 21st, 2024, Anbaalayam attended the first Homeless Memorial Service organised by the Diocese of Parramatta.
Held on the longest night of the year, this memorial commemorated those who were homeless and living on the streets of Parramatta and Western Sydney and passed away.
Anbaalayam collaborated with several other charities, including Vinnies NSW, Thread Together, Wesley Mission, the Anglican Church, and the Uniting Church, to serve attendees with tea, coffee, warm clothes, hot soup, and snack boxes followed by a memorial service.
With the support of its volunteers, Anbaalayam prepared and distributed snack boxes filled with sandwiches, biscuits, and cakes to those in need.
A special thanks to Thana Kumar, Nangai Dev, Madhura Mahadev and Angeline for your donations and time taken to fund this project. Your contributions made it possible for Anbaalayam to continue serving the local community.
