Anbaalayam had the opportunity today to donate a large range of food and personal care items to Hope Connect who support the local community through their low cost pantry for those in need.
A low-cost pantry is a community service where those who are deemed eligible can purchase groceries and essential items at significantly reduced prices (cheaper than a regular supermarket).
This lets people choose what they need and pay a small amount, which helps maintain dignity and independence.
When volunteers arrived, the pantry was in need of a good restock and we were grateful to be able to contribute. Items included pasta, sauces, kidsâ lunchbox snacks, cereal, milk, flour, sugar, tinned fruit and vegetables, tea, soup, personal care products and more.
