Anbaalayam have provided assistance to 60 families from multiple villages in Trincomalee (Bharathy Puram and Ganeshapura) severely impacted by recent floods. The devastation caused by the floods has left these communities in urgent need of basic necessities and assistance to rebuild their lives. We appeal to anyone who can contribute to join hands with us

Anbaalayam have supported a household by funding and building a water pump to assist with home gardening for a family in Thiriyai (Trinco region). This will not only help them grow their own food but also create an opportunity to earn an income. Small initiatives like these can make a big difference in building self-sufficiency

Eleven families, including widows and families with children with disabilities from St Coombs, Maraya, Cowlehena, and Clarendon estates, are receiving essential dry rations. These rations will be provided for six months, offering vital relief during difficult times. A 48 year old woman, who tragically lost her husband in 2009, has been working hard to support her three children through odd jobs. Her house was in poor condition, with cracked walls and a leaking roof. Anbaalayam have funded the necessary materials and support to repair the roof and walls.

A request was made by ASSIST RR, which has successfully executed numerous similar initiatives in the past, to support 100 surgeries, and funding was successfully raised for 41 of them. In total, 111 surgeries were carried out at Galle National Hospital – Karapitiya with the collaboration of medical professionals from Karapitiya, Ratnapura, and Colombo. The
